Recollapse: Narratives in Motion
September 5, 2025
For Recollapse, inspiration arrives in fleeting moments, watching films, reading books, or sketching freely. These sparks evolve into surreal forms that feel both immediate and timeless.
“I tend to visualize them through imagination based on what I see,” he explains. “I’m drawn to this style because it doesn’t confine me to overly complex techniques.”
His practice thrives on fluidity, favoring instinct over rigidity.
Distortion as Language
Distortion and abstraction are not simply aesthetic flourishes in Recollapse’s work, they are narrative tools.“Some forms appear as larger figures that carry a story, while others are more like smaller voices that are less dominant,” he says.
Each figure plays a role, whether supporting one another or existing as a standalone presence. This layering of voices creates a polyphonic visual experience where meaning constantly shifts.
Storytelling Without Words
Though his pieces rarely speak directly, storytelling is embedded in their construction.“I always try to create works that leave room for interpretation,” Recollapse notes.
Viewers are invited to linger, project, and discover their own versions of the narrative. What emerges is a sense of awareness, an aesthetic encounter that doubles as reflection.
Looking Ahead
Recollapse’s vision doesn’t stop at the screen.“If I could imagine my works in another form, I would love to explore kinetic sculptures that move repetitively, and collaborate with people who are experts in movement and mechanics,” he says.
This step into motion and mechanics could transform his visual language into a physical, immersive experience, an evolution that feels inevitable for an artist already drawn to the fluid and the surreal.
